美国一男子培育出世界上最辣辣椒：吃完胸口发热、腹部绞痛
10月18日消息，世界上最辣的辣椒诞生了，能吃完一整个的绝非常人。据吉尼斯世界纪录网站16日报道，美国辣椒培育专家埃德·柯里培育出世界上最辣的辣椒，并获得吉尼斯世界纪录的认证。
这种名为“辣椒X”的新品种辣度是先前最辣辣椒的1.6倍，这名培育者表示，吃“辣椒X”令他感到胸口发热、腹部绞痛，据他讲，那种绞痛太可怕，让人忍不住呻吟，“迄今只有5个人吃下过一整个这种辣椒”。
目前公认的辣度评级采用斯科维尔辣度，依据把辣椒汁水稀释到品尝不出辣味的程度评级，100万单位意味着把辣椒汁水稀释100万倍，才能尝不出辣味。“卡罗来纳死神”辣椒平均辣度约为164万单位，相比之下，对很多人而言已经非常辣的墨西哥青辣椒的辣度只有3000到8000单位。为了制造这种辣椒，柯里花费了十余年的时间，他每年都要进行100多次杂交试验，最终用“卡罗来纳死神”和另一种来自密歇根州的辣椒，成功杂交培育出“辣椒X”。
